G7 servers from HP sport greener power consumption credentials than previous models and also benefit from a major upgrade to HP’s superb Integrated Lights Out server management suite - ILO3. You will not find a better specced or cheaper 2U enterprise server at this level.

    The DL380 G7 features an Intel 5520 chipset on a Dual-Socket Intel Xeon motherboard, supporting Xeon 5500/5600 series processors with up to six-cores per CPU and up to 12MB level 3 cache for higher performance and better power efficiency. Memory capacity is huge, with 18 DDR3 RDIMM slots supporting a maximum of 384GB with both processors installed. This provides ample scope for the most intense multi-tasking requirements and demanding applications.
