Our 'Basic' DaVinci Resolve workstation has been designed for individuals and businesses that have a tight budget. These systems will happily process 1080p projects and small amounts of 4K, but will struggle on larger scale 4K+ projects. The Basic system is not suitable for high-end H.265 decoding in DaVinci Resolve 18 due to graphics card limitations.
For more intensive tasks such as 4K editing, OpenFX and noise reduction a more heavy duty graphics card, as found in the 'Intermediate' workstation, is required. The 'Intermediate' system over doubles both the GPU VRAM and CPU cores of the 'Basic' system to provide you with a powerful workhorse designed to tackle 4K projects day in, day out.
The ultimate all-in-one 8K editing powerhouse is supplied in the form of our 'Expert' DaVinci Resolve Studio workstation. Composed of 16GB of GDDR5X Quadro graphics, 192GB of DDR4 RAM and dual 18-core Xeon Gold processors the 'Expert' machine breezes through both 8K media and large rendering jobs making it the perfect system for professionals and post-production houses looking to gain a edge over the competition.
We recommend having two drives which provides the best performance:
Basic workstation is only equipped with 2x 3.5"" drive bays. Third drive is not required, but if desired an external hard drive will be suitable for archived data.
3.5" to 2.5" converters are automatically added here if SSDs are selected.
Graphics cards with DMS-59 connections will automatically add a 'DMS-59 to VGA Splitter' to your configuration (you can change this to a DVI splitter below if required). You can then plug in a VGA/DVI cable into the splitter.

Every workstation has an integrated 1GbE RJ-45 port for connection with your router/network, additional >2GbE options are available, but not required, for professionals on high-speed networks that need an ultra-fast connection. Wi-Fi options are available for individuals who cannot plug directly into their routers.
No external cables (Power cables/Monitor cables) are included by standard. If you require any additional cables you can find the standard power cable for the system below and additional monitor cables here.
