A Heatsink for the processor is required and is automatically added to your configuration.
This system has one NVMe M.2 slot. For the best performance we suggest using a NVMe SSD as your primary storage and, if additional storage is required, a Hard Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD) as your secondary drive.
This system has two drive bays, one 3.5" (LFF) above and one 2.5" (SFF). For the best performance we suggest using a Solid State Drive (SSD) as your primary drive and, if additional storage is required, further additional SSDs or HDDs.
The Z240 SFF Workstation has 1x 3.5" drive bay and 1x 2.5" drive bay. For use of both bays, you will need one '3.5" Caddy' (or one '3.5" - 2.5" Converter Caddy' for using a SSD in the first bay).
Caddy(s) are automatically added to configuration if required for selected drive(s)
Processors ending in 5 or 6 have onboard graphics support as well as the E3-1230 V6 & E3-1240 V6. Other processor models ending or 0 or 1 do not have onboard graphics support. If you are not planning to install your own graphics card, you will have to select one of the available options below for these models.
Graphics cards with DMS-59 connections will automatically add a 'DMS-59 to VGA Splitter' to your configuration (you can change this to a DVI splitter below if required). You can then plug in a VGA/DVI cable into the splitter.
This workstation has a front facing optical bay. To avoid leaving holes in the front of the system, please select one of the below options.
If you have selected a 'Chassis' with 'Windows 10' in the title and selected a HDD or SSD your system will come with Windows 10 already installed. However, if you have selected no HDD/SSD you will only receive a 'COA' so you can authenticate your own Windows installation. If you need Windows 10 but have not selected a 'Chassis' option with Windows 10 in the title, you will need to select one of the below options.
Every workstation has an integrated 1GbE RJ-45 port for connection with your router/network, additional >2GbE options are available, but not required, for professionals on high-speed networks that need an ultra-fast connection. Wi-Fi options are available for individuals who cannot plug directly into their routers.
